Circlous helps users to privately share unlimited photos and videos in original high resolutions with friends and family. We all love to share our pictures with family and friends, but not with necessarily with everyone else. Circlous users can easily and precisely select contents to share, authorize recipients to receive, and define boundaries of social interactions (such as: comments and descriptions) on the selected contents and recipients.

Circlous does not have a central searchable directory of users, so users can only join a network if invited. A user chooses their private username which can be used to receive media contents from other Circlous users. There are many online social networks available for people to find and connect with each other, while Circlous is built to strengthen connections and communication with people you already know well.
Images, video and comments are all stored locally on the computers of specific network members. Circlous servers do not store any photos or videos to keep privacy in the hands of our users.

Circlous users do not have public profiles or personal data that can be searched by search engines.
Furthermore, Circlous provides a private media sharing experience with no advertisings. Friends and family can safely and privately share, view and comment on photos or video without any risks of inappropriate contents being displayed by advertisers.

Circlous is a personal peer-to-peer image sharing system that directly links your computer and friends' to privately share contents. Here is how Circlous works:
- Content owner shares contents such as pictures, videos, comments and descriptions with friends and family using Circlous application;
- Friends and family can download Circlous application to receive and discuss pictures and videos for free;
- During the installation process, a user can choose their private username which can be used by Content owner to authorize and send sharing notifications;
- Upon receiving sharing notifications, content receivers can choose to accept the shared contents, hence starting content transfer directly from content owner and/or other authorized receivers that are available online;
- Completing the content transfer, content receivers can view photos and video in original high resolutions, join discussions or share comments in related context in private.

Circlous does not impose any limitations in file size for photos or video. Users can privately and securely share big media files with friends and family.

Images and video shared using Circlous are always downloaded in full original high resolutions for a clearer, more flexible media experience. Can I see my friends' photos and video on large HD screens? back to faq
Circlous client application includes integrated “media server” capabilities to bring out rich details in received pictures and videos to take advantage of high definition screens.
Using a Universal Plug and Play (UPNP) AV or Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compatible media receiver such as Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360 or compatible HDTVs, users can easily browse and view videos and photos being shared on their private Circlous networks on their high definition screens in the living room, family room or anywhere connected to their local network.
To share and view videos and photos on high definition screens, users simply need to connect their compatible media receivers and the computer where Circlous is installed in the same wired or wireless local network. Once the local network connection is setup, users would be able to automatically discover Circlous Media Server and view all photos and videos from friends and family. Users can properly experience rich details in photos and videos, because Circlous uses high-speed performance of local network connection to transmit shared media in their full original quality.

Can I view photos, videos or comments from friends when I am offline? back to faq
Circlous locally stores photos, videos or comments from friends in your computers that you assign. Hence, you can always view photos, videos or comments, and continue to work with Circlous even when your computer is not connected to the Internet (offline). When you computer is connected back to the Internet (online), Circlous automatically sends all new updates such as new comments or new shares from you, and receive all new updates from friends.
How many computers can I put Circlous under my account? back to faq
Users can put Circlous on up to eight computers of their choice under a master account. Hence users can choose to receive photos and video from friends and family on different locations. Moreover, users can directly send copies of their own media files between their computers where Circlous are running.
Can I use Circlous to receive and discuss photos and video for free? back to faq
Yes, users can use Circlous for free to receive and discuss photos and videos. Basic account is free that allows a user to create new shares of 300 photos and 50 videos per month. Beyond the basic account, a user can buy unlimited sharings for $9.95 per year.
How do I get Circlous unlimited sharings? back to faq
After creating an account, a user can login into Circlous web site (www.circlous.com) using their username and password. The login page provides an account status and a "buy now" button (if a subscription expires within 30 days). Clicking the "buy now" button will take the user to PayPal website for secure payment processing with a credit card or a PayPal account. Upon completion of the payment process, Circlous will automatically add one-year unlimited sharings to the user's account.
